Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

The extension stores your settings (target/native language, license key) locally in chrome.storage.local. A randomly generated device ID is created on install to enforce free-tier daily quota; it is not linked to your identity.

2. What we send to our backend

When you mine a sentence, we send: the sentence text, the target word, your target/native language codes, your device ID, and your license key (if any) to our API. When you export a deck, we additionally fetch and slice audio from the corresponding YouTube video on our server.

3. What we send to third parties

Sentence text is sent to Anthropic (Claude API) for translation and cloze generation. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details never touch our servers. License-key delivery emails are sent through Resend.

4. Retention

Cached audio files are deleted after 24 hours. License + usage records persist until you request deletion (email below).
